The various ski areas of Montafon have different appeals. Beginners and ski bunnies, as well as sporty freaks, will find what they need and are looking for, be it on the Golm with its wide slopes, which used to serve as an ideal terrain for women’s World Cup races, over the sun terrace of the Hochjoch with its extensive ski area with a 470 m long ski tunnel or the extensive area of the Silvretta-Nova, probably one of the most beautiful and best-developed ski areas in the Alps, or in Gargellen, where skiing is fun and where over 30 ski tours, some of them crossing the border into neighboring Switzerland, start.
